I am very happy with the way For Sale By Owner handles things. I've never been able to justify the work of a real estate agent, especially the commissions one needs to give for their services. This is the future of real estate transactions. With FSBO, you only pay for what you need, like consultations, historical data, professional pictures, staging, or similar direct expenses to get your property listed, and then the direct expense for the lawyer. This approach saves you a huge amount on commissions, allowing you to offer a reasonable price to buyers since there's no seller commission involved. I've sold multiple properties using this service, and most of them were over the asking price. If you're looking to save money and still achieve great results, FSBO is the way to go.
I have just gone through the process of selling my condo through FSBO. To start, I will say, read the info they have available as it will give you an idea of what to expect. Or better yet, listen to their short audio that is available as well. Any questions just phone and they will be happy to answer your question. My advice is to do your research so you are aware of what is required to sell your property and have as many of the necessary docs required on hand. If you're not sure, they will help you through all steps. Also, if you want to sell your house and not deal with any realtors, that is great, but we are in a world where realtors still are the go-to way to sell and buy homes. So be prepared to have them want their piece of the pie. If you have time and are willing to take that time to wait things out to sell 100 percent privately, all the power to you. All in all, I had a great experience and will never go back to using a realtor. FSBO representatives will guide you through every step as they did with me, and I ended up paying half the fees that I would have if I chose to have a realtor representing me. I sold in less than 24 hours and over the list price. Can't complain at all. Great experience for me. Hope this helps anyone who is considering FSBO.
